UCLA Flooding
A 30 inch LA Dept. of Water and Power water pipe, built back in 1921, burst underneath iconic Sunset Blvd. in Westwood today.
Millions of gallons of water and mud rushed through the northern part of the campus flooding most of the athletic areas. Water also rushed in to a parking structure and the Pauley Pavilion producing several feet of standing murky water.
The torrent of water took over 2 hours to finally shut down.
Sunset Blvd. is expected to be closed for the next couple of days due to the break.
