4/29/1992

On this day, twenty-six years ago, the City of Los Angeles tore itself apart.
The wounds and scars have not fully healed and the memories still linger.

Happy 90th LA City Hall

Los Angeles City Hall turns 90 years old today. The iconic structure opened back in 1928 with a three day long celebration.
Made this montage proof-sheet image back in 1990, using one roll of bulk rolled 35mm Kodak Tri-X black and white film.
The bottom left frame is my favorite. It shows a homeless man asleep on the great lawn.
The homeless issue has still not been addressed by the politicians of this beautiful structure.
