Vasquez Canyon Landslide

A landslide on Vasquez Canyon Road in Santa Clarita, CA is still moving. The area was soaked by heavy rains last month which have now caused a small hill to begin to move on to the roadway.
El niño rains are expected to bring more heavy rains soon to Southern California. Should be an interesting winter ahead.

LA Guns

22 years ago I went to several gun ranges in Los Angeles to photograph a post-riot Los Angeles. There was a huge spike in gun sales after the 1992 LA Riots. The ranges were full of new gun owners testing out their weapons. I set up a background and used a 501 Hasselblad with a 120mm lens and Tri-X 120 film.
This is a small sampling of the folks I met.

Four Years Ago in LA

Four years ago, Occupy LA set up camp at city hall.
Then city councilman Eric Garcetti welcomed them to stay as long as they like and that the city will support the cause.
Two months later, hundreds of LAPD would forcible remove the occupiers from the city hall grounds.
