Shuttle Endeavour at Edwards AFB
The Space Shuttle Endeavour arrived, via a 747 piggy back ride, at Edwards Air Force Base. The shuttle was on brief display and is getting ready for the last leg of it's transcontinental voyage to Los Angeles.

South Central Trees Get The Chop
Over 400 trees, many in South Central LA, will get the chop this week. The Space Shuttle Endeavour is expected to need to the extra room to maneuver through out the city. Many of the lovely aged trees will have to be cut down to stumps so the Shuttle may reach it's final destination at Exposition Park.
The trees will be replaced with saplings at a rate of 4 to 1 for now, but it will take up to 25 years for the trees to mature and provide the visual grandeur of the prior trees, if they make it that long.

Today is the one year anniversary of the Occupy Movement. Saw these table settings at the JW Marriot hotel today, where candidate Mitt Romney is giving a speech to the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Never Forget

It's the first time I ever saw the giant buildings in real life. Was amazed by how tall they were.

Candidate Bill Clinton Back in the Day
I was working in Los Angeles with Harold Meyerson of the LA Weekly, who was reporting on the Presidential race back in 1991. Standing next to us was candidate Bill Clinton. Harold said to me,"take his photo, he's gonna be the next President of the United States."
