Longest World Series Game

The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Boston Red Sox, 3-2 in the longest World Series game last night.
The game lasted 18 inning tying the previous record, and took 7 hours and 20 minutes to play beating the old record of 7 hours and 5 minutes. Each team had 9 pitchers throwing 561 total pitches.
The Red Sox lead the series 2 games to 1.

Dodger House in South LA

A house in South LA underwent a special paint job by graffiti artist Tetriswai.
He repainted his house in Dodger colors and featured a mural of Dodger baseball player Justin Turner on the side of the house.
It's become a hit with the locals with many stopping by and doing selfies all day long.

Happy Birthday Tommy

Happy Birthday to Los Angeles Dodger Great, Tommy Lasorda.
He celebrated his 90th birthday on the same day as the Dodgers win their NL West divisional title for the fifth strait year.
Congratulations to both Tommy and the Dodgers.

Bryan Stow Court Victory

Beating victim, Bryan Stow, won an $18 million dollar verdict against the Los Angeles Dodgers today in court.
Bryan was badly beaten and nearly killed at a Dodger home opener game March 31, 2012.
The jury found that Brian did not aggravate the beating he received by several Dodger fans. The Jury also found previous Dodger owner, Frank McCourt, not responsible as well.
Bryan's parents Dave and Ann spoke to media afterwards and were happy with the verdict.

Tommy Lasorda's Epitaph

Tommy is still recovering from a heart attack he suffered in June. In the meantime Tommy is already discussing what he want's printed on his tombstone. He told the Times in a recent interview that he wanted the Dodgers home schedule printed on his tombstone, so people visiting his grave would be able to see if the Dodgers were playing at home or away.

Dodgers Show Up, Fans Not So Much

The L.A. Dodgers made quick work of the Astros of Houston this weekend, beating them soundly in a two game home stand.
Dodger fans have yet to show, many seats and sections of the grande stadium were left vacant this Saturday and Sunday, during the most mildest summers we have experienced in a long time.
Entering and leaving the parking lot was a breeze, many fans drove away happy with the wins.

LAPD Still Confident

LAPD Chief Charlie Beck faced the media today and stated he is confident that Giovanni Ramirez is still one of the main persons responsible for beating Giants fan Brian Stow. Although Chief Beck is now calling for more investigation in to the case against Ramirez, who was arrested last Sunday.
"A score of detectives" are still investigating the beating case, along with "700 clues that are coming in from the public" claims Chief Beck.
Ramirez faced a line up yesterday, and Chief Beck stated he was satisfied with results, although he would not clarify the results.
Ramirez has lawyered up and states he was at home with his 10 year old daughter at the time of the beating on March 31, 2011. He is also willing to take a police polygraph to prove his innocence. Ramirez is being held for a parole violation and for the vicious beating, with bail set at 1 million dollars.
Two other suspects still remain at large, one woman get away driver and one male latino.

New Security Measures At Dodger Stadium

LAPD and Dodger officials enact new hi-profile security measures at the stadium in the wake of the beating of Brian Stow, a Giants fan. Hundreds of LAPD officers are now stationed at the stadium during home games on foot, horseback, motorcycles, bicycles, and various other vehicles.

New temporary lighting will be employed at the stadiums parking lots during night games. License plate readers will also be installed at the entrances of the parking lots.

Former LAPD Chief William Bratton, now Chairman of Kroll a private security firm located in New York, was hired by the Dodgers to help employ new and better security at the stadium.

The Crowded Skies @ Opening Day

Heavy traffic in the skies above Dodger Stadium for the opening day ceremonies. The Goodyear blimp "Spirit of America," a B2 Stealth Bomber for the fly-over, and a small plane towing a sign that read "SF Giants 2010 Champs! Beat LA" crowded the air above Dodger Stadium.

A cheery Frank McCourt left the L.A. Superior Court today after a long day testifying on the stand today in his divorce trial.

Frank and his team of lawyers all wore Dodger blue ties and his female attorney wore a blue top today, as Jamie's lawyers all went with red ties again.

One of Frank's lawyers handed out L.A. Dodger baseball caps to the media, yes I received one.

The post court press conference was very interesting. Attorney's on both sides went after each other with lots of sarcasm and verbal jabs.

It's back on the stand for Frank on Thursday, were he will face a friendly cross examination.
