President Obama Signs National Monument Declaration

President Obama signed a declaration in to law marking most of the lovely San Gabriel Mountains as a National Monument.
More people visit the San Gabriel Mountain Range than Mt. Rushmore.
The San Gabriel range is about 360,000 acres large and will be our nation's 110th National Monument.

President Obama at LA Trade Tech

President Obama finished his 24 hours of fundraising and tour of Los Angeles with a passionate speech at LA Trade Tech College.
He spoke about the economy and education and how trade colleges are vital to rebuilding both.
After the speech, the President took off to LAX and flew back to Washington, DC.

President Obama Visits Hancock Park

President Obama landed at Los Angeles High School via the Marine One helicopter today.
He sped off in a Presidential SUV up Rossmore Ave. to a fundraiser at the home of Shonda Rhimes, creator of the hit TV show "Scandal."
About 50 Net Neutrality protesters stood in front of LA High to urge the president to make the net a public utility and free from government control.
The President is expected to be in town for only 24 hours.

President Obama Motors Through LA.

President Obama's motorcade rolled through my neighborhood this morning.
I grabbed my camera and jumped on my bicycle, then made it through the Obamajam down to LA High School where four Marine choppers were waiting on the field for the president.
A small crowd of local residents waved to the president as he drove by.
The president flew off in Marine One to Glendale.

President Obama in Los Angeles

President Obama stopped by the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for a campaign fundraiser. He appeared to be feeling a bit more cheery from his last debate performance. The President even lead the crowd inside the Nokia on a "all fired up!" chant.

Presidential Protest On Wilshire Blvd.

Protestors from Occupy L.A., Ron Paul, and pro-Obama supporters, waited on the corner of Wilshire Blvd. and Highland Ave for President Obama's motorcade to drive by.
The group of about 50 were disappointed, as the President made a last minute change to his route. He decided to stop at Roscoe's Chicken and Waffle house on Pico Blvd. for some food.

President Obama At The House Of Blues

President Barack Obama held a campaign event at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. About 800 guest were in attendance and each paid a minimum of $250 to get in.
Rapper B.o.B and the Gay Mens Chorus of L.A. were the musical guest.
A visibly tired President was heckled by a man yelling something about Jesus Christ and calling the President "the anti-Christ." The President quipped back at the man telling him "first of all, I agree Jesus Christ is the Lord, I believe that." The Secret Service escorted the man out of the room as he continued to yell at the President.
The Sunset Strip was shut down to all traffic except for emergency vehicles during the President's visit at the HOB.
