Fargo Street is only a couple of blocks long but measures around 33% grade around the top. Many cyclist do not make it up. This year drew around 100 contestants, several did the climb a few times. Most cyclist rode altered mountain bikes with gearing at around 1:1. A couple of roadies showed up and did the climb with 34x25 gearing, going strait up with little or no tacking. One 17 year old roadie made the accent in under a minute.
The record for completed accents is 101, set by Steve Gilmore in 2008.
