LA Post Lowest Crime Rate In 50 Years

LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, announce Los Angeles posted it's lowest crime rate in 50 years for the year 2009. Violent crimes including rape, robbery, murder, and burglary all reported lower numbers according to LAPD COMPSTAT.
Property crimes rates also reported low numbers, despite a downturn in the economy, which breaks traditional trends in crime.
