Magic Johnson 20 Years Ago Today
20 years ago today on a late afternoon at the Forum in Inglewood, Ervin Magic Johnson announced to the world that he will retire from the L.A. Lakers due to contracting the HIV virus.
Magic also said "I'm gonna deal with it, and my life is gonna go on," and "I'm gonna be a happy man."
