An Afternoon At The U.S./Mexico Border

Images from the U.S./Mexico border at the Border Field State Park. The park is heavily patrolled by the U.S. Border Patrol and is now all but impenetrable. An old and rusty border fence extends briefly into the Great Pacific Ocean, serving now only as a reminder more than a deterrent. Most of the park is deserted, an occasional bird watcher or horseback rider are the afternoons only human occupants.
Snowy Plovers, rabbits, and coyotes now flourish in this modern DMZ border.
