Jamines was wielding a knife and threatening people on 6th Street, when a L.A.P.D. officer told him in English and Spanish to drop the knife. Jamines refused and was shot and killed by the officer.
Westlake residents took to the streets for a third night in a row, after the meeting. The L.A.P.D was ready this time and arrested several protesters.
